C.O.V.E.N.

overview

Coven is a horror themed, turn-based, strategy, dungeon crawler that’s a bit of a cross between XCOM and Darkest Dungeon intended for the PC with consideration for Console. The setting is a combination of Cold War drama, Sci-fi and Gothic horror. Gameplay will be viewed through an isometric camera with 3D characters and environments taking place on a 2D grid.

Project Design Goals

I would ideally like to have a small level completed with at least three to four combat encounters showcasing a good vertical slice of the idea. I’d like to have the complete Combat experience in and the Blood Lust mechanic is a must however the full complexity of managing the system can be toned down if needed.

My Responsibility

I made U.I. for C.O.V.E.N. I wanted to give the player as much information as possible in a fun way. C.O.V.E.N. is a turn-based game. That needs a lot of U.I. for players to know what is going on in the game, and I wanted to make sure play got that information without feeling overwhelmed
